It is with deep sadness that the Christian Churches Monitoring Group (CCMG) learns of the passing of Fr. Alex Muyebe, who until his passing, was the Director of the Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection (JCTR) in Zambia and served as the CCMG Steering Committee Spokesperson.
A visionary leader with an exceptional capacity for inspiration and innovation, Fr. Muyebe’s tenure as CCMG Spokesperson was marked by his unwavering commitment to not only growing the footprint of the consortium but promoting electoral integrity. His profound contributions have left a lasting imprint on CCMG’s mission, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of working with him.
He leaves behind a powerful legacy of service, exemplified by his steadfast dedication to justice and a compassionate spirit. Fr. Muyebe’s life and work will continue to inspire everyone committed to building a more just and democratic nation.
